Maggie Elestwani
Maggie Elestwani, RN, is a principal analyst with Agoric Source, and is our public health emergency specialist.
Maggie is responsible for the American Red Cross Disaster Health Services (DHS) all-hazards response for the greater Houston area. She was the ARC Houston DHS Manager for the Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. She was also a member of the Mayoral Katrina Medical Working Group.
Maggie has a background in trauma outcome management at a Level I Trauma Center. She collaboratively developed a Trauma Readiness Algorithm for the OR. She graduated from Texas Women’s University in 1990 with a BSN. She holds certifications in BDLS, ACLS, TNCC and TOPIC.
Maggie serves on the boards of the Harris County Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) and is the chair of the Educational Foundation of the Fort Bend American Association of University Women. She has worked and volunteered extensively with gifted and talented youth programs and in multicultural youth programs in science education.
